What do You have in mind for this year, Lord?
What’s pressing on Your heart for me?
What have You purposed to do
with me?
for me?
through me?
in me?
I click open my calendar –
the weeks lie wide open;
But all those little boxes
won’t stay blank much longer.
Before my calendar gets cluttered,
show me how You want to fill the spaces;
Give me insight
into Your calendar invites.
Before I move a finger to click “accept,”
move me to seek Your heart – and to let You search mine;
Tune me in to that still small voice,
whispering in my spirit –
Telling me, “This is the way”
and urging me to “walk in it.”
Spirit of Wisdom, show me –
Which are the appointments that You have appointed?
I don’t want to miss the moments You’ve anointed.
